Shockwave is used to create cool animations and graphics on websites and it's really easy to download.
All the plug-ins you need to access CBBC content are FREE to download and use. When you download these plug-ins, you will be asked to agree to some terms and conditions with the other company. This does not involve the BBC. They should also tell you what they will do with your personal information. Please check with a parent or guardian before entering any personal information and get permission before downloading this plug-in.

The Shockwave site is very clever and can tell which system and which browser you are using to look at its site!
1. Go to the Shockwave Player Download Centre
2. If you are using Internet Explorer all you need to do is click on the Install Now button, as shown here:
2a. Click through any dialog boxes that appear and Shockwave will be installed automatically onto your computer.
3. If you are using Netscape - you will need to click on the Download Now button as shown here:

3a. A box will appear asking you where to save the Installer.
3b. Save the Installer to your desktop and wait for it to download completely. An Installer icon will appear on your desktop. Double-click on it. You will have to read and click through the dialog boxes.
3c. When the "Install" button appears, click it to install Adobe Shockwave Player into your browser's plug-ins folder.
3d. Your web browser will launch a new window. When you see the Adobe Shockwave Player movie playing, the installation is successful!
