What is the Gory Games app?
The Gory Games app allows you to play along with certain Gory Games episodes. Look out for the play-along logo to find episodes you can play along with.
The app listens out for the TV programme and then synchronises, allowing you to answer questions alongside the studio contestants in order to win Year Spheres.
How do I play along at home?
Make sure the app is open when a Gory Games play-along episode is about to start and the TV is turned up and is on the right programme. The app will synchronise with the programme (it may take a few moments to connect). Whilst you are watching the show, use the app to answer the questions and win Year Spheres.
Why do I need to let the app use the microphone?
The microphone allows the app to listen out for the TV programme and keep in time with the show. It will only work if you say OK. Please note that we can’t hear you – it’s just for the app to hear the show.
The app isn't working on my iPhone or iPad - what should I do?
Make sure that your microphone is turned on. If you didn't say 'OK' when you first downloaded and opened the app you can still turn it on now.
- Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone > Gory Games and switch the microphone to 'on'.
- Or delete the app from your device, re-install it from the app store, and this time say OK when asked if the app can access your microphone.
If you are having problems syncing, try closing and re-opening the app.

How do I turn reminders (push notifications) on and off?

If you opt to receive these or you give your permission for your child to receive push notifications, a unique identifier relating to your device will be used to keep you up-to-date with the TV schedule. You can turn it off in the app at any time on the homepage of the application.
