CBBC Office: Book Club: The Silly Book of Side-Splitting Stuff
For this week's Book Club, Hacker has been reading The Silly Book of Side-Slitting Stuff, by Andy Seed. You can read his description and review below.
Why not get hold of a copy, have a read, and tell us what you think...
Hacker's Description and Review
This book was top notch Cockers.
All of the bits in the book are really short so it's easy for a dog like me to read.
You can read a bit at a time and you'll be laughing all the way to Wigan. I even enjoyed reading it while I was in the lav lav.
In the Silly Book of Side Splitting Stuff you can learn about a girl really called Lorna Mower and find a fact about a sofa that can travel at 87mph. Mine only does 40mph. I'm livid!
It features gross food too - unlike my beloved meat paste! If you're a fan of ludicrously LONG WORDS (and, let's face, it who isn't), it has words like floccinaucinihilipilification. It means 'rare', but don't ask me how to pronounce it. The word Floccinaucinihilipilification made me realise why the word 'rare' is so much more popular eh!
My favourite joke from it is, 'Doctor Doctor, I keep getting a pain in my eye when I drink tea' and the
Doctor says, 'then take the spoon out!'
Oooooh I think I've done myself an injury. Oww! MY SIDES ARE SPLITTING. I've injured my furry coat.
Final thought, before I go and get my injury checked out - there are lots of great silly things for you to do in this book, so the silliest thing you could do is NOT to read it Cockers!
