I think you should keep promises because if you dont some people might not trust you again and will be known as a person who cant keep promises. But if you cant keep them for a reason fine just apoligise.

Promises should be kept but if the secret is very serious then you should tell a member of staff / family.

It depends on what the promise is. Think about how you would feel if it was you.

You don't have to keep your promise if there is a problem or something.

You should always keep your promises unless there's another thing going on. Just as long as you don't hurt the other person's feelings. If you do, they should get over it afterwards. If they don't, try and make it up to them in any possible way you can. Just try not to let them down if you're not in any situation. This keeps you happy that you've kept your promise to someone else and it keeps that person happy because you've took their promise seriously and understood them.
