If you are a fan of Doctor Who then you'll love this! Find out how to make a Tardis bird feeder.

First, cut the top off your fruit juice container and wash it out.

Next, you need to make the panels on the side of the Tardis. Print out our template and cut out the four panels. Stick them onto thick card to give a raised effect.
On one side, cut through the fruit juice container itself to make the hole for the birds to feed from.

Stick one half of a small plastic container (the type raspberries or blackberries come in) onto the top of the fruit juice container. This will become the roof of the Tardis.

Next, paint the whole thing with dark blue acrylic paint. You may need two coats to completely cover it.

When the paint has dried, stick on the windows and police box signs. You can download our handy template here and cut each of the designs out.

Cover the whole feeder in PVA glue to make it waterproof and give it extra strength. PVA glue is white when you paint it on, but it will dry clear.
The light on top of the Tardis is made from the lid of a sports drink. Put a dab of your blue acrylic paint on the top and draw on silver squares. Stick the lid on with strong glue, and thread some string through to hang your bird feeder.

Using a bradawl, pierce three or four holes in the bottom of your feeder. This is to allow drainage. You will need an adult to help with this.
Finally, fill your feeder with black sunflower seeds. These will keep the birds happy and healthy all year round!
You could experiment with different coloured acrylic paints and see what new Tardis designs you can come up with.
Try decorating the box to become a Cyberman or a Dalek bird box instead.
You don't have to use a fruit juice container - try using different shaped boxes and see what you can create. Don't forget to sendus a picture.
