Step 1

A4 paper folded in half lengthways

Put your piece of A4 paper flat on a table and fold it in half lengthways.

Step 2

Then open the paper and fold two corners down the centre line that the fold has made.

Step 3

Now fold the end that has formed a point over and make a dot about two centimetres from the point.

Step 4

Fold the two new corners at the top in to the dot and then fold the small pointed end back over those corners.

Step 5

Flip the paper over and fold the plane down the middle again.

Step 6

Make the wings by placing your finger at the front of the plane and folding the page straight down the side.

Step 7

Turn the plane over and do the same thing to make the other wing.

Step 8

Congratulations, you just made your own perfect paper plane - why not make more than one and have a race with your friends!

  • A pair of hands
  • A piece of A4 paper
  • A pen
