The Band: Amanda, Barry, T-Ray and Jamar make up the Barbados band that is Cover Drive. They built up fans by posting a series of cover versions of their favourite artists’ songs on YouTube.
The Influences: The four friends have known each other for years and all have very different musical tastes; Amanda loves pop music, T-Ray likes metal, Jamar likes indie and Barry likes punk rock, but their Caribbean roots bring them together. They describe their music as “fun, fresh, feel-good, sunshine”. Rihanna is one of their fans and recently invited them to perform at her show in Barbados!
Likes and Dislikes: Trained dancer and lead singer, Amanda is obviously the only girl in the band but claims she can hold her own against the boys and eats just as much as them! T-Ray loves hats, in fact he has a massive collection of caps, fedoras and beanies. Jamar is a big dog lover, while Barry can juggle and puts ketchup on everything!
