The Artist: Bruno Mars’ real name is Peter Gene Hernandez. He grew up in Hawaii where he performed as a child. Bruno moved to Los Angeles after leaving school, where he wrote hits for and sang with artists like B.o.B, Kesha and Cee Lo Green.
The Music: In 2010 his career went supernova when the singles Just the Way You Are and Grenade became worldwide hits. His debut album Doo-Wop & Hooligans went multi-platinum worldwide.
The Awards: He was nominated for seven awards at the 2011 Grammy awards and won Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. So far Bruno has sold over 14 million singles worldwide and has three Number 1 hits in the UK Charts. Go Bruno!
