School For Stars: School for Stars Interview

Jade and Rhianna took time out from their busy performing schedules at the Italia Conti Academy in London to answer your questions from the CBBC Messageboards.

Read on to learn some very interesting facts about what it is like to be at one of the country's most prestigious stage schools and what it's like being best friends going for the same roles in school performances... 

Jade: Hello, how's everyone doing?

Rhianna: Hiya, thanks for all your comments. Let's get started!

ScarletReadingDolphin: When did you start school for stars and when did you two start being friends?

Jade: We started being friends in year 7. School for Stars was last term.

Rhianna: We've got the same sense of humour, so we're really close as friends! 

PearlRhymingPuppy: Dear Jade and Rihanna, I am a huge fan of School for stars and wanted to ask u do you ever get bored of practicing over and over again your dance ?? because i do!!

Jade: I'd say... no not at all! I love it! You have to think about how every time you do that dance it's different, because there are things that you did better than the first time, and things that you did worse than the first time - so you have to keep practising!

Rhianna: If you love the style of the dance that much, it doesn't matter to you - you just want to work hard for the next time.

AquaFlyingFlamingo: Hi!! <3 I am a massive fan!! I love the show, and I am your No 1 fan!! What would your ideal acting singing or dancing role be?

Jade: I think it would be acting for me, because that's my passion. Something in a drama TV series or a film. I love Twilight - so something like that would be great.

Rhianna: I just want to see where life takes me, because I love all three. I feel like I'm strong in all three, so if there was one I auditioned for and got the part I'd be happy as there's not one that I prefer. But I do like Eastenders.

AgateGymnasticBluebell: Hi I love the show!! my question is: Who is your role model in your school and who is your role model out of anyone in the world? School for Stars is my favourite show! 

Jade: Aww… I would say Layton, because he's brilliant at everything and works really hard! Out of school, in the world (it's a big place), Audrey Hepburn who's a actress from the 1950s, and Natalie Portman and Jessie J. 

Rhianna: I'd love to be like Eloise from School for Stars because she's a "triple threat" - actually want to be her. I want to be like Julie Andrews from Sound of Music. She's got nodules and I had that last year - I've got a book about her!

YellowAthleticJellyfish: Hi JADE AND RHIANNA. I always watch school for stars!!!! My question is Do you like sausage rolls ??????

Rhianna: I love sausage rolls in the microwave 

Jade: I do like them... on a cold day. I like... cheese

AmethystCrispySeahorse: Hello Jade and Rhianna. My Question is How do you feel about going against each other?

Jade: Wellllll... dun dun dun!!  It's not great but when you're in an audition room I've learnt you have to forget about your friendship. Just eat some cheese, and you'll be fine!  Because if not, your friendship may be put on the line.

Rhianna: When you're in the audition room, you've got to be focussed. When you're out of it, you're best friends again. 

LavenderStormyHedgehog: hiiii. I always whatch the show and want voices like yours. my question is how do you both manage to keep up with everything like school singing dancing performaces? chloe xxx

Rhianna: We just don't leave it until the last minute, otherwise if you leave it, it'll just pile on top of you.

Jade: Just eat cheese!  I need to stop talking about cheese now. You have to always keep on your toes to keep on top of everything, and we don't do as many academic subjects as everyone - so we're lucky, but there's a lot of pressure because we've got our GCSE coming up.

RoseAutumnAnteater: Hi Jade and Rhianna, To both of you : Dancing, Singing or Acting ?????

Jade: I LOVE them all! But acting is my passion. I'm gonna be the next Natalie Portman. I wish.

Rhianna: I hope to be strong in all of them. I couldn't choose! I've been doing all of them since I was about two and a half.

Jade: I wish I'd been doing it since I was two! (to Mum) Why didn't you let me do this then? My mum's luck ran out when I was two and I asked for a STAGE for my birthday present. 

VioletSweetMayfly: Hi Jade and Rhianna. You guys are great on school for stars!! Do you have any advice to help me become more confident at dancing??? Thanks Molly :D 

Jade: Hi Molly, how are you? Well, you have to believe in yourself - start doing that more often, because I bet you're brilliant. Work hard, and people will start believing in you. Lots of love, Jade x

Rhianna: At the end of the day, push yourself if you want to be seen. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks, because once people see you I'm sure they'll be inspired!

Jade: Remember, being different is brilliant, so don't be afraid to be different.

Jade: Thanks for all your questions guys, maybe we should do an all day Webchat one day 

Rhianna: Thanks for all the questions, it's nice that people are inspired by us.

Jade: You're all amazing. Fingers crossed you'll see us all again for another series.
