Saffron Coomber, the actress behind Tracy Beaker Returns' Sapphire Fox, stopped by CBBC HQ to celebrate the show's brand new third series and answer some of your Messageboard questions.

This is the place to find out some exclusive behind-the-scenes Beaker gossip as well some some interesting facts about Saffron herself, such as her New Year's resolution, how it feels to be famous and whether she's anything like her character Sapphire...

Who is your favourite tracy beaker character (apart from yourself)? and r u anything like sapphire (be honest)? Scarlett  P.S who is your favourite out of Iain and Chris (please answer)? - ScarletHappyWriter

Saffron: My favourite Tracy Beaker character is Gus because he makes me laugh. I'm similar to Sapphire because we both enjoy art. Chris and Iain are BOTH lovely people - I cannot choose!

What has been you're favourite episode of the show so far? From Laura - RoseGentleLemon

Saffron: Dear Laura, thank you for your lovely comments. I'm glad you enjoy the show so much. My favourite episode so far has been the time when me and Dani had to dress up as sausages - as I can truly say I've never experienced something like that before!

Hi Saffron if there was one person you could live on an island with one of Tracy Beaker characters who would it be??????? - JetCupcakeFrog

Saffron: If I could live on an island with one of the Tracy Beaker characters it would be Carmen because she would be able to make clothes out of anything!

What were the auditions like for sapphire? Was it scary? - JadeWaterWerewolf

Saffron: Yes the auditions were very scary! I had to do two auditions. Both were very nerve wracking. I didn't think that I would ever get the part in my lifetime!

Saffron: Dear Chloe, thank you for watching! I enjoy reading, listening to music, dancing in my bedroom and just being with my family and friends. As for the other cast memebers, we keep in touch over the phone and over email all the time! P.S. Cool display name!

Saffron: If I do, it's because my family is watching the show. Otherwise I just generally sit in the corner and cringe.

Whats it like playing a girl in care and your my favourite - BerylBakingButterfly

Saffron: It's very interesting and challenging at times. Sapphire's experiences are so different from my own.

Have you made any new year's resulotions? - DiamondTromboneLemur

Saffron: My New Year's resolution is to take more pictures so I can remember the happy times during the year!

In Tracy Beaker Sapphire acts like a big sister to Harry, do you two have the same bond in real life? I think Sapphire, Liam and Harry are so cool!!! Jessica <3 - VioletGenerousDeer

 Saffron: Thanks for your question! We all get along swimmingly on set. We're like one big happy family!

What is it like being famous? Do you get recognised? Ever been in a limo, or do you go in blacked out windowed cars? - OpalCymbalTurkey

Saffron: Thank you! It's an honour to be an inspiration! I don't really count myself as being famous so it's quite strange when I get recognised. Yes, I have been in a limo but it was for my ninth birthday. And my family car has blacked out windows - but it's not because of me!

Saffron: No, because it is fun to play someone who is completely different from myself!

Sapphire really likes music, so I was wondering, what's your favourite song atm? Mines Earthquake by Labrinth. -  TealTitchyFox

Saffron: My favourite song right now is Shake It Out by Florence and the Machine! P.S. Good choice!

Saffron: Hi Maya, we filmed the series during the summer holidays. It's usually from late June until early October, so approximately 13 weeks.

 Saffron: Thank you for your lovely comment! If I could be anyone in the world for a day it would probably be Beyonce so I could dance the night away!
