5th November 2012
Read on to find out why Lewis applied to be on the show, what his favourite animal is and what his friends think about him being on TV!
Lewis: Hello CBBC website. Lewis here. I hope you enjoyed the Hero Squad show tonight. I'm looking forward to answering your questions!
What is your favorite bit of Hero Squad so far?
Lewis: One of my favourite bits so far has been the capsize in the RNLI pool with the lifeboat. When you were under the lifeboat you had to do a lot of tasks under pressure so you had to focus a lot and it was quite fun.
If you had a super power to save people, what would it be?
GingerGiganticLOL and OpalEarthFairy
Lewis: It would probably be being able to fly because then it would save a lot of transport so you could get right in there and save the person and fly back up.
What is your most embarrassing moment in Hero Squad?
Lewis: Probably when I feel asleep in the doorway after Rav had woken me up half an hour early.
Has there been a moment in Hero Squad that you wish you could relive?
Lewis: In this episode of Hero Squad I got to go up in a helicopter and I'd like to do that again because it was really fun.
What do you want to be when you are older and did being on Hero Squad help you to explore more into it?
Lewis: When I'm older and I'd like to be a singer or an actor but being on Hero Squad has definitely opened up my options and I've experienced other stuff that I could do.
What do your friends think about you being on TV?
Lewis: My friends are definitely excited for me being on TV and I'm sure they're just a tad jealous.
If you came across an ice cream truck while doing Hero Squad, would you be tempted to buy some? If so, what flavour?
Lewis: I was in the middle of a rescue I'm not sure I'd notice the ice cream truck but if I was just training I'd probably drop what I was doing and go and get a strawberry ice cream.
What was it like filming Hero Squad and were you scared?
Lewis: Filming Hero Squad was one of the best experiences of my life. I was pretty much scared all the time but filming with the rescue services definitely gave me a lot of encouragement.
Why did you apply for Hero Squad?
Lewis: Because about a year ago I got stung on the tongue by a wasp and I was allergic to it, so I was on one end of the rescue then and I wanted to see what it would be like to be on the other end of it.
If you were an animal what would you be?
Lewis: I'd quite like to be a monkey because you can swing from all the trees and be quite cheeky.
Which emergency service did you like working with the most and why?
Lewis: It was the RNLI because we got to drive all the boats and go really fast and it was really cool. I'd driven boats before in the sailing club at my local village but the RNLI boats were power boats so they were more exciting.
If you didn’t apply for Hero Squad what other CBBC show would you apply for?
Lewis: I'd like to apply for Blue Peter and be a presenter!
How did you feel when they choose you for Hero Squad?
Lewis: As I said on the programme, I dropped everything I was doing and ran round the kitchen and screamed because I was really happy.
Who is your favorite CBBC presenter and why?
Lewis: My favourite presenter is Rav Wilding... because I've met him!
You are amazing at singing and playing the guitar as well as sailing. So what do you like better sailing or singing?
Lewis: As much as I like sailing, I prefer singing and playing the guitar. I don't know which I'm better at though!
Is it nice to have Rav Wilding as a tutor and what is he like?
Lewis: Yes, it was very good to have Rav as tutor because we had a lot of banter. He thought my name was Lewisrrr and I thought his name was Ravnold!
What has been the hardest challenge so far, and why?
Lewis: The hardest challenge was this week's episode because pulling the guy on the stretcher up the cliff took a lot of strength.
What is it like learning all the new skills and being with real heroes?
Lewis: Learning all the new skills was amazing and having the people who actually do them as a living to show me was even better. We learnt a lot of knot-tying and that's going to be useful for the future.
What are your other hobbies apart from sailing and singing?
Lewis: My other hobbies are skiing, snowboarding and playing golf... and playing the piano!
What was the worst or scariest bit about Hero Squad?
Lewis: Being in the cave was definitely scary but once you got used to your surroundings it was really really fun.
If you had to chose to be a Super Hero for a day, which one would it be?
Lewis: I would choose Superman. 1. because he can fly and that's pretty cool and 2. because he's tall and I'm quite small!
Lewis: Thanks for posting your questions and I hope you enjoy the next Hero Squad. Bye!!
