Blue Peter: WINNER ANNOUNCED: Barney's Photo Competition
In February we asked you YOU to send us your photos of animals for Barney's Photo Calendar.
We received over 1,500 entries and our judges, Barney Harwood and professional photographer Ed Stemp, looked at every single one.
FIRST PLACE: Eve McLoughlin, aged 13
We are pleased to announce that Eve won the competition with a photo of her pet guinea pigs Pippa, Dandylion and Muffin!
What the judges said: "We love how the low angle, perspective and scale make these guinea pigs look like athletes, poised at the starting line of a race."

SECOND PLACE: Vicky Vinall, aged 9
The first runner-up position goes to Vicky for her funny shot of a Morag cow sticking its tongue out!
What the judges said: "This is a great image of a magnificent creature caught blowing a raspberry to camera. Fantastic timing!"
THIRD PLACE: Toby Norman, aged 10
The final runner-up position goes to Toby for his detailed close-up of a lizard.
What the judges said: "The low angle and framing with equal space on the right make this a perfect composition. We love the way all the detail is sharp in the eye and eye-brow. He’s a cute little fella too!"
