In a nutshell...

He's the practical joker of the bunch. For Noel, life's all about having a laugh. He's working on reception only as a stop-gap, as one of these days he's gonna hit the big time, he just needs his big break. Very much a people person, he might not take down patients' details correctly, but he'll have a good old chin-wag with anyone who walks through the door. He'll also probably try and diagnose them too.

At work...

He's just simply not the luckiest of men. It's guaranteed that if he makes a personal call on reception then Tess will appear for the first time that day. If he chances a glance at a pretty nurse's bum, then the boyfriend will be stood next to him. And if a visiting dignitary was to arrive, then Adam would have just finished rearranging Noel's Dr Who figures into inappropriate positions. Noel is the Laurel to Big Mac's Hardy, the sweeter and slightly dim sidekick, to Big Mac's gruffness and misguided certainty. But Noel's never disillusioned. His endless positivity is endearing, even if we know it's utterly fruitless. Noel is like Tigger: bouncy, in your face, always grinning, and usually up to no good.

Noel and the gang...

He infuriates Tess with his gossiping, disorganisation and lack of respect.

Adam is patient with him, but gets annoyed when Noel tries to be his best-mate all the time.

Charlie thinks he's funny, although exasperating. How hard can it be to file one set of notes in the right place? He likes having him around to brighten the place up. However, he's quick to put him in his place if he gets out of order. Noel likes Charlie and he's one of the few people he respects. He calls him "the guvnor".

Big Mac humours him. Or so he thinks. He'd actually be lost without him. Noel wishes he was half as clever as Big Mac, and is always trying to impress him with trivia facts (although Big Mac always knows best).

Love life...

There's no woman in his life at the moment, but when he meets that gorgeous supermodel, we'll soon find out.
