In-yer-face, loud, opinionated, bold, reckless
Kathleen Dixon is 42 and larger than life. A physically imposing woman anyway, she maximizes her appearance with an individual dress-sense that's not to everybody's taste. She's got one of those laughs that infect other people and no matter what the situation, she's always able to see the funny side. She doesn't care a jot what people think about her and this openness wins her a lot of friends - but not if you're her boss. She has a problem with authority.
Dixie believes we're only on this planet for a short time and should make the most of it. She's straight talking to the point of bluntness and enjoys a practical joke. But, deep down she's as insecure as the next person.
Dixie's done lots of things in her life but has always felt a vague sense of satisfaction that she's never really fulfilled herself. She was a classroom assistant, but felt she could do better than the teacher. This ended in a show-down and she quit in a huff. She then worked on a cruise ship as a kitchen hand, but tried to run the kitchen and fell out with the chef. Then she managed a pub in a Welsh seaside town. She enjoyed that, but wanted to make changes the owners didn't like. Story of her life. Then she joined the paramedics - because she dealt with them at the pub enough times and they impressed her. So here she is, been in the job years now, loving every minute but still retaining her "when it gets crap I'll be off" attitude. What we know is that she'll never do any other job in her life.
She held a torch for her best mate, Cyd, but her feelings weren't reciprocated.
