Veteran calypsonian the Mighty Sparrow and St Vincent's soca hitster Kevin Lyttle are in London.
They're leading a line-up of soca artistes at a Saturday show in north-east London. They explain why they're performing over a month ahead of Notting Hill Carnival. Sparrow also had a few observations to make about some elements of modern soca music.
Debbie Ransome asked the Mighty Sparrow whether he still loves performing live.
More from Sparrow and Kevin Lyttle in BBC Caribbean Magazine on Friday, July 18. |
