Future Media

The future of connected and mobile TV
is in your hands.
The world's watching.

Imagine this: A world where your smartphone is perfectly integrated into your TV. Where your tablet complements and extends what you’re watching. Where a programme is continued online. Where your Xbox serves up iPlayer. Where your TiVo apps give you all the BBC Sport you would ever want. That’s what we’re about at Future Media.

Our ambition is to create the most valued open digital media services in the world. We want to transform the BBC for an interactive, on-demand future and find new ways of reaching audiences wherever they are. Already we cover more than 500 devices, and newer, even more exciting Red Button interactive experiences are just starting to emerge.

BBC Future Media is the driving force behind the BBC’s digital media proposition. We design, develop and run digital services and products. Our aim is to allow audiences to enjoy the BBC’s best content via their preferred route, whether that’s online, tablet, mobile, or through internet-connected TV. Our aim is to create one service combining BBC Online and Red Button by delivering ten products to our audiences across four screens.

All this innovation is being driven by our people – so we take care of them. We offer impressive benefits, including twenty-five days annual leave, a defined contribution pension scheme, life assurance, accident benefit, and interest-free season ticket loans. We also offer world-class opportunities to learn and develop inside the BBC. The BBC Training & Development Academy offers outstanding training in all areas of broadcasting – so good in fact that it also trains the wider industry. Join us, and you can help transform the way media is consumed by creating experiences that weren’t possible in traditional broadcasting. Globally. If you’re ready to work with the best content, on the best platforms, this is your chance.
