How do I apply?
There are three stages in the selection process:
1) Complete a written application form and submit CV
In the first stage of the application form you will be asked to submit your CV and answer some questions about your skills and experience.
2) Take an online test
If your application meets the criteria outlined in the role requirements we will contact you by email to invite you to complete an online assessment. Please look out for our email and remember to check your junk mail folders.
The assessment is broken down into two sections:
i) Analytical Thinking. This section measures your reasoning with diagrams and requires the recognition of logical rules governing sequences. This part of the assessment is using ‘adaptive technology’ which means, depending on how accurately you answer the first few questions will determine the difficulty of the next few questions i.e. the test adapts to you as a candidate.
ii) Personality Assessment. This section is based around the job related characteristics. Questions are not BBC or job specific, but drawn from a library of questions already used and tested with many other organisations over the past 30 years. Although the questions may well appear unrelated to the role you are applying for they are still able to accurately assess the skills we are looking for.
PLEASE NOTE: It is important that the test is all your own work. To check your results, we may ask you to complete a similar test at the assessment centre.
3) Assessment Day
If your application is successful, you will be invited to a half-day assessment centre. Assessments will take place in Manchester. At the assessment centre you will complete an interview, an individual technical exercise and possibly a group exercise. We will send you more information about the assessment day if your application is successful.
Can I get feedback?
Unfortunately given the volume of applications we receive, we will only be able to provide feedback to candidates who reach the assessment centre stage of the selection process.
