Entry Level Roles on the Production Talent Pool

On the PTP you may be asked to do any of the following roles:

Runner - Television - Ricky’s story

A Runner provides general support to a television or multiplatform production team. You might need to fetch props, deal with on-screen talent, assist in filming, or conduct basic research. You will need great people skills, to be organised, flexible and be bursting with creative ideas.

Production Management Assistant – Television – Charli’s story

A Production Management Assistant provides general administrative support to a television or multiplatform production team, such as booking equipment and travel, organising filming and diary management. You will need great organisation skills, budgeting skills, and the ability to thrive in a creative industry.

Production Management Assistant – Radio – Hannah’s story

A Production Management Assistant provides general administrative support to a radio production team. You might be printing and distributing contracts and scripts, organising diaries, booking travel and helping out with presenters and contributors.

If you are successful in gaining a further 18 month contract on the Production Trainee scheme, this is what you might expect;

Production Trainee – Joe’s story

As a Production Trainee you will work in four different areas of radio and television. You may be expected to conduct research, assist with filming and sound recording, help produce interviews, book contributors and contribute creative ideas to the programme team.
