Work Experience Opportunities - BBC Kick Off Trainee Sports Reporters

We’re looking for applications for the 2013 BBC Kick Off trainee sports reporter scheme.  The project is aimed at giving talented people from a diverse range of backgrounds an opportunity to develop their reporting skills within the BBC.

As a BBC Kick Off reporter you will receive full training, a mentor from the BBC, and a 2 days a week minimum, 8 week placement during the summer working alongside a BBC Local Radio and online sports team.   You do not need to have any prior journalism experience or training to apply for this scheme.

A successful reporter will have a proven passion for sport and a willingness to further their career in sport journalism.  Many previous reporters from the Kick Off scheme have continued to work at their local BBC centre, with other subsequently working for BBC Sport.
