Production Team Assistant, BBC Worldwide

Katharine Warnes

Production Management Assistants (PMAs) are an integral part of any production at the BBC. In TV they will be working to the Production Co-Ordinator and Production Manager as well as the relevant editors and producers, and will be helping to make the production run smoothly.

Organised, diligent and with strong communication skills, PMAs will find themselves working in a wide variety of capacities. From organising shoots and dealing with archive requests to booking edit suites and researching props and locations. PMAs may get the chance to see their work in the office come to life when they’re asked to work on location.

Working alongside the Production Manager and Production Coordinators, PMAs gain a unique insight into exactly how a production comes together.
