Careers Hub allows you to use your existing Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn password and career information to set up and access your careers profile. Creating your career profile this way does not give the BBC access to your social media account or private information.
At the heart of our new BBC recruitment process is your careers profile. Your careers profile is a bit like an online CV and is similar to your LinkedIn profile (if you have one) and includes details of your skills, experiences, work history and contact details. You can update the careers profile any time you like to show new skills you have developed, courses you have attended or projects you have worked on. You can even upload examples of your work to your careers profile.
If you applied for a job at the BBC before the 28th May 2013, your current application will not be affected, however if you would like to apply for any future roles, you’ll need to set up a careers profile in the Careers Hub.
From the end of May, the BBC is using a new recruitment system, the BBC Careers Hub, to enable faster and more effective hiring.
We use competency based interview, psychometric testing and assessment centres but there are a variety of other selection tools we use where necessary. You will be given details of any assessment when you are invited to interview.
You can access a range of support on interviews and assessments if you login to the BBC Careers Hub and visit the Resources section.
There are no set stages to the selection process, and for more senior roles you could find yourself meeting us on several occasions before we reach a final decision.
We understand the pressures of looking for work and will do our best to make quick decisions and take decisive action wherever possible. You can always track your application through the BBC Careers Hub when you login.
On occasion we will advertise these roles in the BBC Careers Hub, however the majority of acting and presenting roles are recruited through agencies. We recommend you contact your local agency if you are interested in discussing opportunities in this area.
We would recommend you create your own profile in the BBC Careers Hub where you can search all types of vacancies.
Unfortunately, the BBC does not accept speculative CVs and are unable to hold CVs on file. If you are interested in applying for a specific vacancy which has been advertised, you will need to apply through the BBC Careers Hub.
We would recommend you create your own profile in the BBC Careers Hub which the BBC Recruitment Team search to find potential candidates for vacancies.
If you have a disability and require any reasonable adjustments or have particular access needs we would be happy to discuss these with you.
Please contact the BBC Recruitment Team at recruitment@bbc.co.uk
To do this, please login to your BBC Careers Hub profile and then you will be able to update your details.
The BBC is not a seasonal employer and therefore does not have regular graduate recruitment programmes in line with the academic year. Regular schemes are advertised in the Trainee Schemes section of our website and the BBC Careers Hub.
We would recommend you create your own profile in the BBC Careers Hub where you can search all types of vacancies.
