We
grabbed an exclusive interview with Jason Connery and got him to
tell us all about The Blue Room...find out what he had to say:
Tell
us about the Blue Room?
You play lots
of characters?
How do you prepare?

The X factor?

Coy
audiences?
Beautiful yet intense?

Tell us about 'live'
performing.
Most excited about?

Been here before?

Dramatic,
witty, warm and daring, David Hare's The Blue Room will open its
national tour at the Arts Theatre with the star studded cast of
Tracy Shaw and Jason Connery.

This
tale of seduction and intimacy based on Schnitzler's La Ronde first
premiered in Germany in 1921, after which it was promptly closed
down by the police and the actors arrested and put on trial.
The
Blue Room features characters from a wide cross-section of society.
Through an amazing series of 10 vignettes, The Blue Room is a circular
story of seduction involving the cab driver, the au pair, the married
woman, the politician, the model, the playwright, the actress, the
aristocrat.... all played by just the two actors.

Coronation
Street star Tracy Shaw and heartthrob Jason Connery (Robin Hood),
star in what is guaranteed to be an evening of theatre at its most
intimate. Connery has numerous films to his credit including Casablanca
Express, Macbeth, Robin of Sherwood and Midnight in St Petersburg.
Shaw, a huge fan of the play says: "Everybody knows the play
for its nudity, but it is much more than that - it's an incredible
piece of theatre."
Connery adds: "I am really excited about coming back to perform
in the UK and Ireland, and particularly to take this great David
Hare piece on tour so that it can be seen outside London."
The Blue Room is playing at the Arts Theatre
from 3rd to 8th February, 2003.
