The overgrown nuclear bunker.

The nuclear bunker in Cambridge was built in the 50's in the event of Britain coming under attack from atomic bombs and because of growing concern about the Cold War. Made from 5 ft thick concrete, the bunker was extended in the 60's and would have been used as a regional seat of government. After the Cold War ended, the bunker was abandoned and has stood empty ever since. Find out more about the bunker »
