The fire at a tyre recycling depot at Murfitt Industries, off Wisbech Road, near Littleport, began on Friday 21st August. Today, almost a week later, the smoke is still billowing and experts claim that it could take weeks to burn itself out. Jozef Hall asks why...

A gentleman on Carol's programme yesterday said that he never buys a poppy as the Korean war cemetary in Pusan is neglected. This has nothing to do with the British Legion & the Poppy Appeal.War Graves are the concern of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Our job is to look after the survivours.
