Another year, another battle of the bands competition. This year's event has been organised by the Muddy Promotions guys based at the Glass Onion Community centre on Burghley Road in Peterborough. They've found time between tending the herb garden and drinking organic cider to hold heats at the Lisboa Bar on Lincoln Road in Peterborough - as part of the weekly Unity music night. Semi-finals start in mid February and the grand final will be held on Thursday 8th March.

The eventual winner will be rewarded with £350 cash, a slot on the Unity stage at Grassroots Festival 2007, a photo-shoot... AND, in April, a prize that money just can't buy, a prize so exclusive we've turned down H from Steps, a session on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire's Audio Files show with Jezza! I'll be updating line-ups, photos (thank you to Mike 'da Hat' Harris) and music each week. The Peterborough Battle of the Bands is held at Lisboa Bar on Lincoln Road in Peterborough every Thursday until 8th March - it's free to get in and doors are open from 8.30pm.
