Day 14 of Rehearsals...

Julie and the competition winner
Alice signs the songsheet

Well, hello again – it seems like a long time since I had a chance to sit down and talk to my diary! This is mainly because we have had a big push to get everything done and dusted at the rehearsal rooms, so that we could start rehearsals 'proper' on stage. This means that the whole cast has to be really confident about the physical aspects of the panto – such as getting the choreography right within the stage space so that nobody pirouettes off into the orchestra pit or crashes through the scenery...

So, here we are, in costume and on stage, rehearsing like mad to be ready in time for the dress rehearsal on Thursday and first night on Friday! I had a great day today. It was a lot of fun to meet the winner of the panto song sheet competition, Alice from Swaffham Prior. Alice is 10 and has composed the winning panto song, which will be sung by everyone during the pantomime itself! Here's a picture of me and Alice – and she's signing the actual songsheet which will be used during performances.

Another exciting thing today was that I learnt to fly! Don't believe me? See for yourself...

I hope you can find time to come and see us at the Arts Theatre – we start on Friday 9th December and go through to 15th January – except for Christmas Day and New Year's Day of course. Even panto stars have to have a day off now and then!

See ya,
Julie
