Blog 6: Thursday 12th January 2006 Final week of the show... Phew! It's now nearly the end of Dick Whittington and his Cat. We have had a fantastic time in Cambridge again this year and we are all feeling the physical effects of doing two shows nearly every day for five weeks! Sunday is our last performance and we're all feeling a mixture of excitement and sadness – glad that the show has been so successful with the public and that we've all got on so well together as a company, and sadness that we will all go our separate ways and that we will have to leave our temporary home in this great city which has been so welcoming.

All I can say is that if you have been to see the show, you will know what great fun it has been for us and the audience! And if you haven't - there's still time to buy a ticket! I do hope that I see you all again next year - thanks so much to everybody in Cambridge and around for your support and your laughter, and best wishes for a happy and peaceful 2006 from all the cast of Dick Whittington and his Cat. Love Julie x

I loved the show and I'm coming back for the final night. Michael and Matthew deserve honouring for services to acting for the galley scene alone. The whole cast were excellent and prove that pantomime is for both young and old alike to enjoy. It's ot hard to see why yourself Michael and Maxine were asked back this year, and I hope you return for next Arts Theatre panto.

that was the funniest pantomime ive ever seen. seriously the only thing that i think should be done is that you guys should start filming each nights show and sell them on dvd's because that was just hilarious. if u did i would buy it honestly

Panto is hard work, but it's well worth it. I'm busy rehearsing for The White Cat at the Arkenstall Centre in Haddenham. We had a fantastic rehearsal on Sunday afternoon with all the kids who did their dance routines. They're really good, and put the adults to shame! We have a bit longer to rehearse than the Arts, as we don't open til January 11. We only have a few hours of rehearsal a week. I love the singing and audience participation, and everyone in the cast has lots of fun. We're always sad when it's over and can't wait to do another production.
Good luck to Julie, we're coming to see Dick Whittington next week - I'm sure it will be as good or even better than last year's!
