The Doves

The Doves interview

Jeremy Sallis
The Doves: They’ll rock your world and probably won’t poop on your shoulder! Three Mancs, some guitars and a drum. The Doves are coming to Cambridge and this time it’s personal!

Jeremy Sallis spoke to drummer Andy Williams before the band storm castle Corn Exchange in March.

Doves are often kept behind netting or in an aviary and are fancied by subscribers to Game Bird Breeders Gazette. The Doves on the other hand are a 3 piece rock band from Manchester who mainly feed on Pukka Pies and support City (probably), and whose music can be heard most weeks on Football Focus.

After slam-dunking straight into the top spot in the album charts with their new release ‘Some Cities’, twin bruvvas Jez and Andy Williams, and bearded frontman Jimi Goodwin will be delighting the masses in Cambridge on March 12th at the Corn Exchange…hoorah!

Jezza spoke to the guy who sits at the back and smashes things with sticks, drummer Andy on a noisy bus heading for Cambridgeshire…eventually.
