If
you've never been to Boogie Wonderland you're missing out! One of
the only dedicated 70's & 80's nights around - what better era
for pure dance music magic?
 |
| Ah,
young love! |
You
just can't help getting up on that dancefloor and strutting your
stuff when disco favourites like "Night Fever" and "Dancing
Queen" are playing, not forgetting classics from "The
Bangles" and "Bananarama"!

To
really get into the "disco mood", make sure you kit yourself
out in flares, afro and anything glittery. (Of course, the night
we took the camera hardly anyone was in costume - tsk!)
Upstairs
in the chill-out room you can become popstar for the night with
the karaoke machine. Always a favourite of mine after a few drinks!

It
tends to be a youngish gathering, I heard many a disco-groover talking
about what A-level results they got and where they're going off
to Uni. There's usually a good handful of students, big groups of
girls and anyone else who fancies a bit of a laugh.

Scary
or what?
|
The
venue itself is not so much glitzy, glittery and glamorous, as steamy,
shabby and sticky. Because The Junction is used for all sorts of
events it can't really focus on having a super cool interior. But
that really won't matter unless you're a trendy club snob.
Everyone
at Boogie Wonderland is far too happy to notice the sticky floor
or the youth-club style bar area. There's such a great atmosphere
that even the staff at The Junction can't stop smiling!
