What
a week it has been, I've finally got into the swing of things
and the people I work with are just amazing. The building's
very big, but I've managed to find out where the toilets are
as well as where my desk is. I have a swipe card which gives
me a reason to go get lunch - just so I can use it when I
return to enter the building sad, I know.
It's
been an amazingly busy week and I'm really happy with the
outcome. Everyones friendly and Ive already got
so many gigs lined up. Three this week which include, Blackwire
@ Man on the Moon, Cambridge and 4ft Fingers and The Vaults
@ Met Lounge in Peterborough, so look out for the interviews
of these bands next week!!
Also
I have an 'Access All Areas' pass to Rockinbeerfest in August
where I will be interviewing top bands such as The Stranglers
and Wishbone Ash.
For
the future Ive arranged to visit Cambridge Arts Theatre
to see what they are doing for the summer, as well as going
to Cambridgeshires Shakespeare Festival. Im also
interviewing a creative workshop in Fenland called G8WAY.
There's
also a Free Running exhibition coming to South Cambridgeshire
and I will hopefully be interviewing the cast while they film
themselves doing their Free Run.
I
have begun to report on a website that involves music and
the Oxfam charity. Oxfam's new music download site - www.bignoisemusic.com
Lastly,
I am going to a Club Afrika next Friday to check out the latest
clubs that have hit the Cambridge scene.
For
the first week Im as happy as happy could be, I just
hope that every week is like this! Watch this space as next
week there'll be more interviews and more reviews. This job
is the best!!!
