Ban Ki-moon arrives in Burma

The United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon, has expressed frustration that relief workers have been unable to deliver aid sufficiently quickly to cyclone-hit areas of Burma.

On a visit to the country, Mr Ban said the disaster was beyond the capacity of Burma to handle on its own.

Cyclone victims chase after donations

Burma has begun official mourning for victims of Cyclone Nargis, as the junta starts to accept limited outside help.

Eighteen days after the storm struck, flags were lowered to half-mast to mark the tens of thousands of people killed.
