There are two ways to tune in BBC Burmese Service programmes via satellite: PAS10 and Indonesia Palapa satellites.
PAS10 Satellite
To receive the BBC Burmese service broadcast, listeners will require a "PID tunable" receiver.
Please tune to the following parameters on PAS10 to receive Transponder 8
- Frequency: 4.064 Ghz
- Polarisation: Horizontal
- Symbol rate: 19850
- FEC 7/8
Please tune the receiver to receive PID 6101 for the Burmese service.
BBC on Indonesia Palapa C2 Satellite
- Downlink frequency (GHz): C-Band 4080MHz
- Receiver input L-Band 1070Mhz
- Polarisation: Horizontal
- Symbol rate: 28.125MSPS
- FEC 3/4
- Receiver Mode (Modulation): QPSK
If your receiver has lock, please select channel number 4, you will get Ar-Rahman channel, after that, please select audio#2, you will get BBC radio channel.
