Main Topic: Aung San Suu Kyi under detention

I would like to say thank you to Razali Ismail. But what he said was more helpful to the military government. It looks as if he was trying to please the Burmese military. Right now, the affairs of Burma should not be done in a bit-by-bit fashion. It requires maximum efforts. If Razali can not help Burma effectively, he should hand over his duties to someone else who can perform his duties as a diplomat.

When we look back our history, Galon U Saw was trapped to get involved in assassination of Gen. Aung San. Now, Kyant Phunt (USDA) may be involved in assassination attempt to kill Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and U Tin Oo. They may be using the help of MI (military intelligence). Please arrange for the production of a play about Black Friday, 30 May 2003.

I've been listening to the BBC, RFA and DVB for the latest Burmese news. I know that RFA and DVB are propagandist stations, so is the military government's Myanamar Radio and TV. Their news are biased and it is difficult to get accurate and balanced news. But I found out that both the BBC and VOA can not deliver the news accurately. If the news are broadcast without waiting for confirmation and proper analysis, it will only worsen the tension in Burma. Please do not broadcast news from the border areas without verification. This is because I have sincere wish for our country.

I feel very sorry for the news of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi being rearrested. We knew from the beginning that the junta can't be trusted and their engagement for the dialogue was just kind of a show to the outside world. It will be very naive to believe that there are some fraction in the army wants to engage dialogue with NLD. I really doubt about it. If there were really that fraction exists, now it is time to show that they want to be seen separately as our country is now in deep crisis.
Myo Tun (hotmail)

I am wondering why these generals, commanders of an army of four hundred thousand soldiers, are afraid of a woman. They have clearly showed that they do not want either a dialogue or national reconciliation. For all that happened in last week, General Than Shwe must take responsibilities because he is the patron of the Union Soliditary and Development Organization.

She is a great lady. She does deserve the Nobel prize. She is the only one who is willing to save our poor people from drowning in big deal of trouble. She is the one who can make our dreams come true and pretty. She is the one who loves the country even more than herself without taking any advantages and benefits for herself. I'm just an ordinary little MYANMAR student who is currently studying in Singapore. Whenever I see how much Singapore is already quite developed and advanced, I can't keep myself from feeling sorry, upset, embarassed, and angry. Esepicially whenever after I was asked which country i'm from, when people know where I'm from, I was looked down upon on that spot. ALL WE WANT IS TO BE ABLE TO RAISE UP OUR NEXT GENERATION AND THEIR EDUCATION.
K Sithu (Singapore)

I am devastated over San Suu Kyi's detention. I will do whatever I can to write letters to my congressmen and senators. I will surely urge them to pressure the Burmese Military dictators to free her and her supporters immediately.

I think we should follow (all the Burmese people inside Burma and abroad) Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's advice as written in her book entitled "Freedom from Fear".
"Emerald cool we may be ... As water in cupped hands ... But oh that we might be ... As splinters of glass ... In cupped hands..."
Glass splinters, the smallest with its sharp, glinting power to defend itself against hands that try to crush, could be seen as a vivid symbol of the spark of courage that is an essential attribute of those who would free themselves from the grip of oppression".

SPDC has acted the wicked thing again. They are incrementing their suppression against democratic movement and observing the reaction of Burmese people. If they can get away with this incident they will do something worse later. They should release Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and all other political prisoners. The entire world: Isolate and supress Burma's Junta; particularly ASEAN who has no interest in Burma democratic rebirth.
Toe Lynn (USA)

If there is God, I pray to the God to look after her and not let any harm come to her. She is our only hope. It is really amazing that the SPDC can be so thick-faced. I am a sixty two year old man and do not easily give way to tears. A couple of days ago, when I opened up internet news and read what happened, I almost cried. I am so sorry that I am too old to pick up a gun to join the liberators fighting this evil regime.
