Synopsis:
(1965) From the James Clavell novel, the film is set in the squalor of the Japanese-run Changi P.O.W camp in Singapore during WWII. A group of allied soldiers fight for survival, while the American Corporal King lives well thanks to his successful dealings on the black market. His biggest scheme involves breeding rats to sell to his starving fellow captives, raising money to buy his freedom in the process. But will his nemesis Lieutenant Robin Grey foil his plans?
