Review:

Consistently voted the most popular Bond film among users of the IMDB (aren't we all?), Goldfinger is the third entry of the official series, and it set a stylistic standard for the sequels.

The villain is Auric Goldfinger, a man who is obsessed with the precious shiny metal and, more importantly, the value of it. As Bond soon discovers, he's planning a scheme that will alter both the balance of gold reserves and the economies of the Western world. The only way for Bond to get at Goldfinger is to tease him out. It's a dangerous game, but as we all know, villains consistently underestimate Bond, and Connery always delights with his playful, but lethal charm.

What an absolute delight to see a film made 43 years ago looking as though it was made today, excellent story, excellent cast, and a fantastic idea to show films like this again in the format they were made to be in. Many thanks are due to the BBC for setting this up and wow, lets have some more older James Bond films at our cinema's.. thanks once again.
