The Maytree started out in Division 4, which they duly won, and also the GFA Sunday junior cup.

The next year Maytree were put into division two, which they won convincingly and yet again triumphed in the GFA intermediate cup, going all season losing only once.

This year the Maytree has signed a new sponsorship deal and have now become Honeyfield trailers.

The team is a closely knit local South Bristol side and draws its players from the successful Surban Saturday team, St. Aldhelms.

We've been together now for five years, with veterans Ricky Butler, Alex Hawker, the Berry brothers, Paul Withers, Darren Gaskell, and Scott Matthews.

Also youngsters Ed Honeyfield, Russel Bamford and Chris Canning, who are now not that young.

Last year, saw the breakthrough of some of the very promising young talent, Ashley Biggs, Rory Thomas and the very impressive central defender, Ben Goddard.

Coupled with that would be the signing of the young former Highridge keeper, Richard Jenkins. This season will be the toughest test yet.
