After a series of promotions over the following seasons, in
1998 the club sought new challenges and moved to division three
of the Bristol Regional League under the new name of Raymend
FC.
A runners-up spot that year and subsequent promotion the year
after sees the team in its current position in division one.
Other notable achievements include the 1999-2000 GFA Sunday
Intermediate Cup Final, which resulted in an unfortunate penalty
shootout defeat.
The runners-up theme continued again last season, with agony
returning in the final of the Gilbert Pullin Trophy.
The coming season sees another name change with the club now
being known as Enterprise Security FC.
Optimism for a successful season is high as is the determination
to overcome the tag of nearly men by winning a trophy out right.
There are 8 of the original team members still managing to play
the odd game now and then but the recent signing of some talented
young players has also helped reduce the average age and weight
of the playing squad.
It is hoped that this blend of youth and experience will hold
the key to promotion into the Senior Division and in the process,
build the foundations for future successes. |
