The club began life playing matches at Patchway High School/Sports
Centre and entered the Bristol Commercial League.
After a couple of seasons establishing themselves in that league,
the club began to enjoy some success and quickly progressed
through the divisions claiming the runners-up spot in the Premier
Division in 1988.
It was then decided that a change of league was required in
order to provide more of a challenge to the players.
Therefore, the club transferred to the Bristol Regional League
for the start of the 1988-89 season.
The club continued to make progress and in 1991, a reserve team
was created due to the interest generated within the club.
It was at this point where things really took off for Dynamics.
The first team were enjoying considerable success with regular
promotion campaigns and the reserves were also achieving results.
In 1993 Dynamics reached the pinnacle with the first team finishing
runners-up in the Premier Division and reaching a cup final
and the reserves competing in Division Two.
Unfortunately, this success could not be maintained as many
players had to leave due to their football commitments on a
Saturday (some players were playing semi-professionally).
The club decided to operate with just one team and withdrew
the first team from the top division.
A few years of consolidation followed for the club in division
two of the Bristol Regional League with the team just missing
out on promotion in 2000.
However, we were not to be denied in season 2000 – 2001, arguably
the most successful in the clubs history, as promotion was clinched
with the team finishing runners-up in the league and winning
the Jelf Insurance Cup 5-1 against The Bell Hotel at Fry’s.
This success resulted in the team being promoted two divisions
to the senior league.
The aim last season was just to maintain our place in the division.
However, the club had another fruitful season finishing third
in the league (just missing out on promotion).
After looking good for at least second place at one stage of
the season.
Another good cup run was also achieved, so confidence is high
in the camp as the new season approaches.
