"Digital
Future" section.
Meanwhile, the team won the technical innovation category for
their live broadcasts from the Bristol Balloon Fiesta and the
Bristol Half-Marathon.
The BT Awards are now in their seventh year and more than 2,000
organisations and individuals entered the 2002 competition.
The website team was also highly commended in the website of
the year category.
Judges said that the BBC Bristol website was only just beaten
by another publication.
Manager of the site, Lisa Rowell, was delighted with the recognition
the site has been given.
"It's brilliant that in two years we have managed to go
from nothing to one of the best sites in the South West,"
she said.
The BBC Bristol site has been online for just over two years
and is now confirmed as Bristol's number one website. |
