Up
to 5,000 local cyclists - from the very young first-timer
to the veteran rider - are expected to take part in this,
the 11th biggest bike ride.
The
event takes place on Sunday, June 13 and people of all cycling
abilities are welcome to take part.
It is one of the UK's biggest non-competitive cycling events
- second only to the London to Brighton bike ride.
Once
again there will be four, specially-signed routes including
the eight-mile family fiesta, suitable for young children
and the 38-mile Clevedon Challenge.
All rides set off from Millennium Square, At-Bristol, Anchor
Road and end at the Brunel Way Picnic Park.
Many riders enter as a means of raising sponsorship for a
charity - this year's official charity is the Wallace and
Gromit Appeal for Sick Children but participants can ride
for any cause they choose..
You
will also be able to meet the stars of Points West at the
event. The BBC will have a trailer in the Brunel Way picnic
area between midday and 4pm.
Also
on hand will be journalists from the BBC Bristol website to
answer your questions.
You
will also be able to meet BBC Radio Bristol presenters at
the event.
