The
Tony Hadley Versus Peter Cox UK tour 2004, sees the former frontmen
of 80s bands Spandau Ballet and Go West take to the stage in
46 performances around the country.
And you can catch up with them at the Bristol Hippodrome on
Tuesday 20th January.
Both
Tony and Peter recently relived their heydays on ITV reality
show, Reborn In The USA.
The hit show saw 10 pop stars from yesteryear battle it out
on stage in America.
They spent eight weeks travelling around the USA in a tour
bus, stopping off at a different city each week and performing
in an intimate venue in front of a local crowd.
Proving popular with the American crowd ensured a spot on
the bus to the next city, but each week the two performers
with the least number of votes were subjected to a head-to-head
battle.
The outcome was then decided by the British public, who got
the opportunity to vote for their favourite performer over
the next week.

Top
crooner
Tony Hadley eventually proved to be top crooner, beating fellow
80s stars such as Gina G, Sonia and of course Peter Cox.
Tony of course is used to being top-dog.
Spandau Ballet was one of the leading lights of the New Romantic
era and clocked up a fair few hits including Gold, Through
The Barricades, Lifeline and of course the ever-popular True.
Although Spandau Ballet split somewhat acrimoniously, Tony
continues to tour and perform the songs which made him famous,
with Spandau drummer John Keeble and saxophonist Steve Norman
sometimes still joining him on stage.
Go West
Peter Cox meanwhile was one half of popsters Go West, along
with Richard Drummie (who was the dark haired one).
The band also had their fair share of worldwide hits during
the 80s and early 90s, including We Close Our Eyes, Call Me
and Goodbye Girl.
They also had a big success with The King of Wishful Thinking,
the opening song to the hit Richard Gere/ Julia Roberts film
Pretty Woman.
Peter and Tony will be singing their own hits on the tour
along with songs from the show and a few old favourites, including
some duets.
Find
out for yourself which of the two has the best set of lungs
at the Hippodrome on 20th January. And if you miss them there
you can catch up with them at the Weston Playhouse on Friday
27th February.
