Balloon Fiesta 2005

Fire limbo dancers
The Black Eagles wowed the crowd with a fire limbo dance

Heaven is a chilled out space

When the hustle and bustle of the Fiesta all gets a bit much, head over to the area behind the craft space and relax.

Immediately on the left you'll see the Hands On tent where you can revitalize with a massage lasting anywhere between 10 minutes and half an hour thanks to the magic fingers of Bristol masseuses Sally Clements and Janette Briggs.

Sally and Janette who usually work from their salon in Bedminster, have more than 15 years of massaging experience between them and can offer Indian head massage, aromatherapy, reiki and reflexology to weary festival-goers. Just be prepared to float away afterwards.

Wandering gorillas

Sally Clements gives a massage"It's absolute bliss," new mum Sammy said with a huge smile after a 10 minute massage. And, as a trained masseuse herself, she should know!

Once you're feeling human again Heaven has plenty lined up throughout the weekend to keep children of all ages very happy.

There are workshops where creative little ones can make a unique framed foam mosaic to take home.

If that's all a bit much they can design their own flag and head into the magical labyrinth while you kick back with a cold one and keep an eye on how they're doing by flag watching - ingenious.

Make a date to catch the Caribbean Melody Steel Band performing a mixture of pop, reggae, rhythm and blues, soca and calypso.

Then, depending on how brave you're feeling why not cuddle a tarantula or encounter a snake and find out why it can't swallow its food whole.

Enjoying puzzles @BristolBristol Zoo's Animal Encounters is hoping to help lots of you overcome your phobias and learn about wildlife conservation.

You can also join the community drum circle with Hum-Drum-Strum, or shake your booty and share your rhythmical spirit with the Hype Dance Company on Friday and Saturday afternoon.

One of the highlights, however has got to be the first Fiesta outing for the gorillas - despite appearances, they aren't real gorillas, but actors mimicking the animals.

They'll be roaming about the area looking for people to interact with. (In case you are wondering the characteristics and natural behaviour are those of the real thing).

Not exactly what you may expect to find in Heaven but that just goes to show, it's a little gem of an area worth seeking out.
