Okay there may be a few balloons lifting off at the 25th birthday
Bristol Balloon Fiesta this year - but what about the music?
Each year the event's concert attracts even more stars and bigger
crowds - and this year the fun isn't just confined to one day. |
| Busted
were a big hit at last year's fiesta - and are back to entertain
the crowds this year. |
 |
 |
 |
The
organisers have decided to treat the crowds to what looks set
to be a bumper silver anniversary event, with the return visit
on Thursday of boy band Busted, who were a great success at
the festival last year, along with fellow returnees Blazin'
Squad.
Thursday
But that's not all - this year the latest confirmed lineup for
the Thursday concert, which begins at 2pm and lasts through
to 9pm when the glow begins, includes the following:
D-Side, Big Brovaz, Kym Marsh, Mark Owen, Triple 8 and Billy
Crawford.
Then there's Fame Academy favourites: Bristol's own Katie Lewis
and Lemar, along with Jennifer Ellison, Kristen, Louise Redknapp,
Jason Nevins / Holly James, Chesney Hawkes and Javine.
Then there's the feminine power of Girls Aloud, those Transylvanian
Cheeky Girls, Lisa Scott Lee and Maria Wilson.
Friday
And the music doesn't stop there. There are more great acts
hoping to keep the crowds entertained on Friday with the Sennheiser
Sounds of the Summer lineup:

17.05 - Tony Moore
17.25 - Jo Stevens
18.00 - The Hazey Janes
18.35 - Tippi
19.20 - Shelley Poole
20.10 - Cosmic Rough Riders
And finishing up at 21.15 with 80s soulsters Hue and Cry.
Saturday
The lineup for Saturday looks a little like this:

Sunday
The music ends with a bang on Sunday with a concert from the
City of Bristol Brass Band between 10am and 12 noon and a classical
concert at 4pm.
And don't forget, if you can't make it to all the events,
keep an eye on the Website that loves Bristol.
We'll be bringing you pictures and details of music events throughout
the four days, kicking off with extensive coverage of Thursday's
big concert.
We'll also be updating these pages with any last-minute additions
