Activity
Special shapes - Launch of tiered and wonderful balloons
form across the world Thursday 7th, 6pm.
Over 100 hot air balloons in mass launches at 6am and
6pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
New event - 25 balloons will launch together, tethered
to one another, Friday 6am.
International premiere of arts event - Seven hot air
balloons will form an "orchestra" each playing different
sections of a composition specially written by international
composer Dan Jones.
Night glows - 25 balloons tethered to the ground and
lit up in time to music on Thursday and Saturday night 9.30pm.
Music
Free Music Concert on Thursday 2-9pm featuring chart-topping
artists including boy-band Busted.
Brand new rock concert
Friday 2-10pm with Hue and Cry and Cosmic Rough Riders.
National final
Best Unsigned Artist contest, Saturday 2-10pm
First ever classical music concert
Performed by Bristol Symphonia, Sunday 3.30-5pm featuring popular
classics.

Family Entertainment
Massive firework display on Thursday and Saturday evening
at 10pm, following the balloon glows.
Aerial display of wing-walkers and precision drops into
the main arena from the Exit Parachute display team.
Arena events throughout the day including balloon inflation
races. City of Bristol Pipes and Drums, guide dog demonstration
and fire cadets drilling plus fairground entertainment.
Over 35 stalls offering food and drink from around the
world. |
