Currently
55% of people in the city use the web, above the national
average of 52%.
Residents
of the city are more enthusiastic about the world wide web
as well.
Almost
90% said they were "satisfied" with their experiences
online.
Work
to spread the word about the web may take longer than we think,
though.
Two
thirds of those not yet online said they had no plans to use
the internet.
Benefits
of the web
More
than a quarter of the 45% of offliners in Bristol said they
would not even know what to use the 'net for.
The
benefits of e-shopping, online banking and e-mail have some
Bristolians in a spin.
One
in four said they found the internet confusing, and half found
it frustrating.
Obviously
none of them have yet found the BBC Bristol website!
The
research was carried out for Yellow Pages.
They
have launched a new "Internet Guide" section in
their directory for Bristol.
