Catch A Chill every first Sunday
Busy bar scene down river
Regulars hoping for a dose of waterside chillage should look no farther than The River, Canons Road, every first Sunday of the month - the new home of the Catch A Chill collective.
Grab a limited edition T-shirt and prepare to chill at The River

Those of you who went to the Big Chill on Tour Down at The River will no doubt remember how the venue fitted the bill perfectly with its warm glowing ceiling arching over a bar full of friends chatting the night away and meeting new people.

Sausages, mash and gravy on the menu - jelly and ice cream on the decks.....who cares if summer is gone? just bring your ravenous appetite for top nosh and tunes.

The afternoon music is warm with classic soul and blues easing away any thoughts that tomorrow is the dreaded Monday. This melts into more lively hip hop, funk and disco as the daylight fades.

The bar area is big enough to stand and chat without feeling you're in the middle of a gang way and there is a massive range of foolishly-named cocktails to sample.

An added bonus is the raised seating area which can be pre-booked if you are planning to stay and chill out in The River for the whole night.

Un-usual contributions and whale music from paperjon, Deejay Funk_roc, DJ Jig, Tomas, Hysteresis, Mildboy. - Check the events section of the website to find out more about these guys.
