The area to the left of image 2 is now a huge building site, the land has been cleared of walls and old sheds, and the foundations are being dug for about half-a-square-mile of mainly apartment blocks. You cant see it from outside, but I can look into the site from my home. There's a hole been dug in one area that must be 30 feet deep and the size of a football pitch. Personally, I think the apartments will enclose the docks too much, but if the public space is as successful as Millennium Square then I guess it's worth it... perhaps.

It has been some ten years since I last came home, in some ways Bristol has not changed at all, (or is that just my failing memory) in other ways I do not recognise it. Please can someone relate the new to the old and put a label to it.
I love being able to visit via technology.
Love from NZ.

Well, this is preety much my favorite area of the city! the local bars on the watershed, the trendy clubs and the nightlife is cool. i love the modern architecture in the square, and its just such a fantastic space in the city.i love the "Mez bug" as i call it, ( hehe the big black bug sculpture,..which i think looks like the machined bug on the front of Bristol's Massive attack album, "mezzanine") lol and of sourse, the fountains provide all mannor of entertainment for the kids or the big kids like me :D

In response to Peter Manning - these views are of the @Bristol complex on Canons Marsh, Anchor Road, just below the Watershed. It's one of the many improvements the city has undergone in recent years.
I love the work being done to restore & improve Bristol, and the pics are great. Keep 'em coming.

I remember at the end of year 7, we had an acticities week on the last week of school, on my Birthday! We went around the docks, and went to @Bristol, and our teacher let our group play in the fountins! It was so cool, but I doubt I'd be able to do it again :-D

Hi,
The views are great, but it would help if the areas were identified to help those of us who have lived overseas for a number of years.

What are your views on the @Bristol complex? Great advert for Bristol, or a waste of money?
