John Wesley's statue outside New Room, Bristol

The chapel dates back to 1739

Wesley website revamped

One of Bristol's oldest buildings has been given a 21st Century revamp on the internet.

The website for Wesley's 18th Century New Room has been redesigned to make it easier to use.

It's hoped the fresh look will convey the historical importance of the Broadmead-based church - the oldest Methodist chapel in the world.

"We needed a website that would not only create new interest in John Wesley and his work but also to... make sure that the website contained as much up-to-date information as possible," said David Worthington the manager of the New Room.

A grant from Business West helped to fund the overhaul.
