2007 is the 40th anniversary of the St Pauls Carnival in Bristol which celebrates the city's African Caribbean community.

Kicking off the day's events is the hugely popular colourful parade through the streets of St Pauls with fabulous costumes, blaring PA systems and high-energy dancing.

Davina explains what she loves about carnival and how the costumes in the procession represent different aspects of the community's history.

Already a veteran parade performer of more than 15 years, she shares her enthusiasm for all things carnival and talks about the ever-expanding size of her costumes.
