Daddy G
Daddy G will play a regular Sat pm slot

Clubland goes Native

Check out Bristol's new music venue created from the enthusiasm of some of the city's most proficient promoters and go NATIVE.

The club has been opened by James Savage, Ben Dubuisson and Dave Smeaton who between them have been responsible for a fair few of Bristol's club nights of the last 15 years from One Love to Purple Penguin to the recent NYE bash at the Metropol.

James Savage and Ben Dubuisson are also responsible for the highly successful bars, The River, The North and The Park while Dave Smeaton owns and runs style shop Alterior on Park Street.

They aim to use their experience to create in their own words, "a warm, unpretentious space for some of the world's finest acts to perform in a much smaller and relaxed venue than often they would play".

Fridays will see We don't play, Eat the Beat, The Leisure Allstars and Seen all spinning alongside regular special guests such as Bonobo and the Nextmen.  The night aims to be experimental and will be playing the more leftfield and cutting edge side of current music.

Saturdays will be hosted by a set of heavyweight regular Djs on rotation which comprises Daddy G, Massive Attack frontman and renowned Dj, Boca 45, international Dj and Grand Central signee, Ben Dubuisson, Hundred Strong writer/producer and High Noon records head honcho plus Dave Smeaton and Neil Kitsell, the long standing Rainy but Funky duo.  This night will serve up solid funk and party breaks mixed with
reggae, hip hop and soul.

The club aims to cover all musical styles and Thursdays will see regular nights some featuring live bands, Fat Paul who runs Espionage will be hosting a rock night with live bands and Andy Smith of Portishead fame will be playing at a Northern Soul night.

Wednesday will be home to Filth, the very popular cabaret and casino night from
Bath which features pole dancers and a trashy disco soundtrack.

Tuesdays: Run
10pm-2am
£4 NUS / £5 others

New Drum 'n' Bass night featuring a residents line up you won't believe, with regular top name guests all playing a two hour set rockin' Native's already famous soundsystem. Your host every week is the one and only Jakes!

Residents; Distorted Minds, Die, Clipz, Fierce, Dazee, Xample, TC and Interface

*You too could be playing at RUN, bring down your mixes and you could be joining them.

Wednesdays: Filth
10pm-2am £4 entry

Filth will bring the seedy side of Vegas culture to Bristol: Drinking, Gambling, Dancing girls and exotic cabaret, Native will be transformed in the spirit of the legendary Playboy mansion parties of the 1970s with special guest 'acts' rockin the stage.  Djs will mix up a filthy variety of music, dirty rock'n'roll, seedy hip-hop, kinky disco,  bubblegum pop, motown classics plus anthems by house of pain, guns 'n' roses, run dmc, the stone roses and elvis!

Thursdays and Fridays change regularly - check listings sites and magazines.

Every Saturday: Western Soul
10pm-2am   £5 entry

DADDY G massive attack - He's looking forward to a regular slot where he will be able to experiment a bit and break new tunes, this doesn't mean to say there won't be a party as the Saturday night Native music policy is aimed squarely at the dancefloor.

BOCA 45 grand central

BEN DUBUISSON high noon/hundred strong

DAVE SMEATON & NEIL KITSELL rainy but funky

Saturday night plays host to a heavyweight selection of Djs playing  a fine slab of funk and party beats Bristol style, from Bristol’s original number one, Mr. Daddy G, to Grand Central’s man of the moment Boca 45, they’ll be joined by the legend that is Ben Dubuisson and local favourites Dave Smeaton and Neil Kitsell  from Rainy but Funky.
